OCR Text Processing (Business Professional) suite of qualifications |
The OCR Text Processing (Business Professional) suite of qualifications provides candidates with high quality, professionally recognised awards. They are vocationally-related qualifications that provide valuable opportunities for individuals to develop skills and gain underpinning knowledge and understanding which will support entry into the modern business environment.
There is an award, certificate and diploma at Levels 1, 2 and 3. Two Entry Level qualifications are also available. It is possible to progress between qualifications within the same level, and between levels; for example, a candidate could achieve a Level 1 Award, then move on to the Level 1 Certificate and then to the Level 2 Certificate.
Each unit carries a credit value. As candidates achieve units, their total number of credits gained within a qualification profile is considered against the full qualification’s requirements. Once a candidate gains a unit which completes a profile, the full qualification certificate is issued.
They support achievement of Key Skills and relate to national occupational standards thereby providing an ideal progression to competence based qualifications once individuals are in suitable employment.
